The Uriel Wisdom Foundation was founded by Melissa P. Dunn, MBA, in loving memory of her son.
What began from a place of personal loss has grown into a vision for creating hope, opportunity, and meaningful support for children and families.
Rooted in love, the Foundation works alongside communities to help young people develop confidence and leadership skills, strengthen families, expand economic opportunity, and create environments where people can thrive.

Our programs
Each initiative responds to a different season of life—from helping girls lead with confidence, to strengthening families, to building a future place of safety and renewal.
Confidence, mentorship, and opportunity
The Hibiscus Girls Leadership Academy equips young women with leadership skills, mentorship, scholarships, life skills, and opportunities that help them become confident and successful leaders.
The Academy is designed to serve 50 young women annually.
Stability, resources, and economic mobility
Hibiscus Families strengthens families in under-resourced communities through case management, financial literacy, economic mobility support, access to resources, and programs that foster stability and opportunity.
Practical support designed around the needs and strengths of each family.
A long-term vision for mothers and children
Ms. Priny’s House is the Foundation’s long-term vision for a safe and nurturing home for single mothers and their children.
The future initiative will help women access the support, resources, and stability they need to rebuild their lives and create stronger futures for their families.
